Is there a God?
Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Psa 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.
Am I accountable to God?
Rom 14:12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,
Does He know all about me?
Heb 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
Psa 139:1-3 O LORD, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. 3 You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.
Does He charge me with sin?
Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Rom 3:10 As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;“
Will He punish sin?
Rom 6:23 The wages of sin is death.
Mat 25:41, 46 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Must I be eternally damned? How can I escape?
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Isa 53:5-6Â He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Is He willing to save me?
Luke 19:10 “for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
1 Tim 1:15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
Can I be saved even though I am a sinner?
John 6:37 “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.
Mat 9:12-13 When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 13 “But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
How can I be sure about heaven?
John 14:2-3 “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.“
1 Th 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
Can I put this off until a later time?
Heb 2:3 How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him?
2 Cor 6:2 For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.“
